Participants will be in teams of 4. Each week the team will be given 1 hour to prepare a recipe using the key ingredient for that week. Each group will have a coach for guidance.

The Powerview-Pine Falls branch will be donating all tuition fees from the kids program to Humankind International for the education of kids in the Dadaab refugee camp in Kenya. Each students monthly fees for Taekwondo lessons covers the cost of educating approximately one student in Dadaab for an entire month and that includes providing them with two meals a day to ensure thy have the nourishment they need to learn and grow.

Course includes information on child care, playing with children, fire safety, home emergencies and injuries & prevention. This program is 2 evenings that will require the student to complete 4 hours of babysitting by the June 9th class with a completed progress report. You must be 12 or turning 12 by August 31, 2015.

JULY & AUGUST PROGRAM
YOUTH CYCLING PROGRAM
For ages 8+
With the help of certified coaches and volunteers, riders will learn the basics of off-road cycling with an opportunity to challenge their skills and fitness. Kids wishing to ride must have an approved cycle helmet and mountain bike with hand breaks and gears. youth will meet once a week with coach from June - August. Arrangements can be made if you require a bike and/or helmet.
Registration Fee: $100 per student
Registration fee includes insurance costs through Manitoba Cycling Association

Learn to Skate

Learn to Skate is a great starting point for children first being introduced to the ice and for those that enjoy learning the basic fundamentals of figure skating.
Edgewater Rec Office & Wings of Power are a great place to stop in to see if there has been any donated skates. We are both happy to pass them along when we have them available to those that need skates to help your child get involved into the program.
